Q: How far in advance should I shop for my gown?
A: We usually recommend shopping at least 8-12 months ahead. Most wedding gowns take about 4-6 months to arrive when ordered. This will allow you extra time for any alterations you may need before the wedding or before bridal pictures. Most gowns are available on a rush for additional charges and we do sell most of our sample gowns off the rack.
Q: What should I bring to my appointment?
A: Please bring the undergarments you are planning to wear for your wedding (such as a strapless bra), we have bridal shoes and petticoats(slips) for you to try on with the gowns. You may also want to bring some photos or ideas of the style of gowns that you are most interested in and one or two people to help you decide. It is important to bring with you someone whose opinion you value, sos you can decide what looks best on you.
Q: Do you carry plus size gowns?
A: Our sample gowns are available for all brides to try on, these dresses range from size 0-28. Bridal sizes do typically run slightly smaller than standard sizes so please keep this in mind when selecting a size. Most of our gowns are available to order in 0-28+.
Q: Do you provide alterations?
A: Yes we do provide alterations for the brides who have purchased their gown with our store. Dresses must be paid in full before any alterations are done. Our seamstresses are independent of us, but will meet you here at the store Monday-Friday, by appointment ONLY. No Saturday appointments allowed. Please bring the shoes and undergarments that you are wearing with your dress to your appointment, so that the seamstress can fit you properly. Our alteration services are offered at our salon as a convenience to our customers, however, you are not required to use our seamstresses. Please keep in mind that most gowns will need some alterations to fit properly. Since the seamstresses are independent, they will set their own prices, there are no set prices on alterations. Alterations must be paid by CASH or CHECK(Made payable to your seamstress)ONLY.
Q: What is the average price of a bridal gown?
A: Our gowns range from $588-$1500.
Q: How often do you get new gowns?
A: We continually receive new gowns throughout the year as the vendor seasons change.
Q: How much time should I allow for ordering bridesmaid dresses?
A: It is usually suggested to order them about 6 months prior to the wedding. This allows time for alterations and shipping (if bridesmaids are out of town). We carry a large selection of bridesmaid samples for your girls to try on. These samples are available in limited sizes that usually range from size 8-14. Most bridesmaid dresses are available with a rush delivery option for an additional cost.
Q: How do I place orders for an out of town bridal party attendant?
A: Most bridal parties have at least one attendant out of town. We make ordering for these attendants simple and easy. To order simply click on the 'Click Here to Send Out of Town Measurements' link and following the instructions. After your order has been received you should receive an email, stating that we received your order. Please call or email us with any questions or concerns.
Q: Are appointments required for trying on wedding gowns?
A: We always recommend scheduling an appointment to better assist you in your search for the perfect gown. Because your bridal gown purchase is a once in a lifetime event you deserve thetime and attention of a professional consultant and a relaxing experience. Our salon is quite intimate so rooms do book in advance. We do attempt to assist walk-ins when possible, however, we generally need to schedule you an appointment to view and try on our gowns. To schedule an appointment time that works best for you, please contact us by phone or email.
Q: Is picture taking allowed?
A: Please feel free to take picture while in our store to help with your decision, and to help remember a wonderful event in your life.
Q: My plan is to lose weight before my wedding, should I purchase a smaller sized gown that I presently wear?
A: This is not recommended. A gown is always easier to be taken in, rather then let out. Generally alterations cannot increase the size of a gown, they can however make a slightly loose gown fit perfectly.
